why ashley became a health coach
Ashley's passion for nutrition and a holistic lifestyle stems back to her own personal struggle with chronic health issues. Over the years, she has battled IBS, interstitial cystitis, asthma, allergies, anxiety, and she also manages chronic lyme disease from a tick bite. Ashley immersed herself in the world of nutrition and holistic health to find ways to combat her painful and debilitating symptoms, as she felt that medications were just a band-aid fix, and often times carried worse side-effects than the symptoms she was trying to manage in the first place. Through diet, exercise, yoga, and self-care, Ashley was able to ease her symptoms, and put many of her health conditions into remission.
She is eager to share her joy and knowledge with others in hopes of them finding a happier, healthier life as well. Her mission is to educate and support others to take back their own health too!
Ashley loves cooking, and the kitchen is the heart of her home. She preaches the "real food diet", which consists of mainly organic, whole foods. She makes healthy eating easy and fun for her family including her 3-year-old son, and their real food menu still includes (cleaner versions) of pizza, pasta, and bread! Since becoming a mom, her dedication and enthusiasm for holistic living only continues to grow each day.
Additionally, Ashley has witnessed many family members and close friends suffer from debilitating diseases such as cancer, and this heartbreak has "fueled the fire" for her to dedicate her life to helping others find healthier lives. She wanted to learn as much as she could about preventative care, and WHY so many people are getting so sick!
Ashley researches and learns about what products are the best and contain the least amount of chemicals and pesticides as she believes that the industrialization of foods and creation of GMOs has led to many of today's health problems. She strives to give her family and clients the very best, and it starts with teaching them how to nurture their bodies and minds with real foods and self-care.
When you work with Ashley, she will help you create balance in all areas of your life, and allow you to feel your best through nutrition education and lifestyle changes. She cares about her clients and wants to see them thrive!
